DeGarian Glover-Ford

Founder

DeGarian Glover, founder of the Glover Foundation, has long been driven by a passion to empower youth and strengthen his community in the historic Greater Fifth Ward of Houston, Texas, where he was born and raised. Growing up, he witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by young people in neighborhoods with limited resources experiences that inspired him to start The Glover Foundation.

 

Before founding the Glover Foundation, DeGarian pursued a career in the music industry, which allowed him to connect with diverse audiences and develop a strong entrepreneurial spirit. Today, he owns and manages several business entities, applying his business acumen to support the mission of the foundation and ensure its programs are sustainable and impactful.

His mission extends beyond his hometown, aiming to provide access to essential resources, mentorship, and support systems for those in under-resourced communities across the country.

In addition to his professional work, DeGarian is actively involved in community service. He volunteers, donates food to families, and supports elderly individuals and households in need. As a father to a teenage son, he has a personal understanding of the importance of afterschool programs, family support systems, and accessible community resources.

Through the Glover Foundation, DeGarian is committed to creating long-term impact by helping families gain access to opportunities, support, and guidance that strengthen outcomes for youth and communities nationwide.

Latravia Glover-Ford

Co-Founder &  Board President

Latravia is deeply committed to expanding equitable access to resources for children and families. Her professional experience spans franchise systems, privately-owned childcare centers, corporate environments, and multi-site organizations, giving her a well-rounded perspective on operational excellence across diverse settings.

She has extensive experience supporting elementary aged students as well as adult learners, with specialized expertise in working with children who have Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), 504 Plans, and intervention plans. In collaboration with school districts and educational teams, she has helped develop and implement strategies that foster student success and inclusive learning environments.

In addition to her direct work in education, Latravia serves as a business consultant for early childhood development organizations and childcare providers, strengthening program quality, compliance, staffing structures, and operational systems. She also brings significant experience managing large teams and overseeing high-volume operations, ensuring efficiency and high-quality service delivery.

Latravia is actively involved in policy advocacy, engaging with local and national legislators to support bills that improve educational access and resources for children and families. She has met with senators and contributed her expertise to shaping policies that promote equity and opportunity in education.

She earned her degree from the University of Houston–Downtown, where she built a strong foundation in organizational leadership and business strategy that continues to guide her work today.

Her passion for this work is deeply personal. Growing up with humble beginnings has shaped her commitment to ensuring that all children—regardless of background—have access to the resources, support, and opportunities they need to thrive. She is particularly dedicated to helping families understand and access critical services for their children, especially when needs may not be immediately recognized or addressed.

Through her role with the Glover Foundation, Latravia is dedicated to creating meaningful impact, strengthening communities, and promoting equitable access to educational and developmental opportunities for all children and families.

La'Trevia Hawkins

Board Member, Mental Health & Wellness Advisor

La’Trevia Hawkins, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker in both Texas and Ohio with extensive experience in medical and behavioral health settings. She specializes in providing therapeutic support to youth and adults navigating a range of challenges, including anxiety, grief, life transitions, and obsessive-compulsive disorders. Her clinical background also includes a strong focus on oncology care, where she supports individuals and families coping with serious illness, emotional stress, and complex life adjustments.

La’Trevia brings a compassionate, client-centered, and trauma-informed approach to her work, helping individuals build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and improve overall emotional well-being. She is deeply committed to increasing access to quality mental health care and ensuring that support services are both effective and culturally responsive.

Raised from humble beginnings, La’Trevia has a strong passion for giving back to underserved communities. Her lived experiences have shaped her dedication to advocating for children and families who may lack access to essential resources and support systems. She believes every child deserves stability, opportunity, and the tools needed to thrive regardless of their background.

Her professional expertise and personal commitment to service make her a valuable asset to the Glover Foundation. Through her role, La’Trevia is dedicated to supporting initiatives that expand mental health awareness, strengthen community resources, and improve outcomes for underprivileged youth and families.

Kimberly Moseray

Board Member & Fundraising & Special Education Advisor

Kimberly Moseray is a dedicated educator, coach, and leader with over 20 years of experience in education, specializing in supporting students with diverse and special needs. Her career reflects a deep commitment to academic excellence, inclusion, and the holistic development of every child she serves.

 

She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisiana and a master’s degree in counseling from Prairie View A&M University. Kimberly has devoted her professional journey to working with students who require additional academic, social, and emotional support, helping them build confidence, develop essential life skills, and reach their full potential.

 

In her role as Director of Fundraising, Kimberly brings passion and purpose to advancing the mission of the Glover Foundation. She is committed to building meaningful relationships, increasing community engagement, and securing resources that directly impact underserved youth and families.

 

Beyond the classroom, Kimberly is also a coach and mentor, known for inspiring and guiding students both academically and personally. Her leadership is rooted in compassion, resilience, and a genuine desire to uplift others.

 

Kimberly is a proud wife and mother of two. She values family, community, and service, and remains deeply committed to making a lasting difference in the lives of children and families.

Cory Moseray

Board Member & Community Outreach and Safety Advisor

Cory Moseray is a dedicated public servant, U.S. Army veteran, and law enforcement professional with a strong commitment to community safety and service. His background reflects a deep understanding of leadership, discipline, and the importance of building trust within the communities he serves.

 

Raised in Houston’s historic Fifth Ward, Cory developed resilience, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility from an early age. His military service, including deployment during the Iraq War, further strengthened his leadership skills and reinforced his commitment to protecting and supporting others.

 

In his role as Community Outreach & Safety Advisor, Cory provides strategic insight into creating safe, structured, and supportive environments for youth and families. He is passionate about fostering positive relationships between organizations and the communities they serve, ensuring that programs are both impactful and grounded in safety and accountability.

 

Cory’s dedication extends beyond his professional work. He is a devoted husband and father who values family, mentorship, and community involvement. His commitment to service continues to guide his efforts both on and off duty.
